MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Men's Tennis team (4-2) fell to No. 24 Wingate University (8-2) 5-4 at the Centennial Center Tennis Facility Sunday.

The Bulldogs nabbed two of the three doubles points. In the first slot, Jannik Kumbier (Neumunster, Germany) and Robin Moller (Hamburg, Germany) gave the nation's No. 11 pairing of Daniel Belsito and Josh DuToit everything they could handle in an 8-6 loss. The third slot was an 8-3 defeat for Gabriel Caron (Johns Creek) and Cole Heller (Woodstock), the freshman duo falling to Matthew Jones and Enrico Giacomini.

The Bobcat doubles victory came in the second spot, where Pedro Ecenarro (Santiago de Compostella, Spain) and Enzo Kohn (Rio de Janiero, Brazil) outlasted Duncan Addison and Josep Canyadell 8-6. The Bobcat second-doubles pairing is now 3-0 on the year.

The Bobcats pulled even with a victory in second singles to start, where Kumbier topped Canyadell 7-5, 6-4. Ecenarro's upset bid of No. 31 Belsito then came up short in 7-6 and 6-4 sets. Moller then evened the team score again at 3-3 by beating Jones in the third slot 3-6, 7-6, 6-1.

Fourth singles finished next, as Giacomini beat Kohn 6-4, 6-2. Needing one more point to clinch the team victory, the Bulldogs got it in sixth singles, as Tamir Geva beat Noah Wallace (Grayson) in a 6-2, 6-8, 6-0 marathon. Caron closed action with a win on the fifth line, topping DuToit by two 7-6 sets.

The Bobcats are back in action Friday, March 9 at 2 p.m., playing host to Queens University.
