GARDEN CITY, Kan. – Trading one "GC" hat for another, Georgia College reliever Chris Gammon (2015-16) recently signed to continue his baseball career, a deal with the Garden City Wind of the Independent Pecos League.
Gammon joins former Bobcat teammate Clay Ardeeser (2012-15) on the Wind roster, as Garden City has posted a 12-12 mark and is second in the Pecos League North Davison.
Gammon spent two seasons with the Bobcats after transferring from Chandler-Gilbert Community College. He made 54 appearances in those two seasons, compiling 14 saves, good for second in school history. He added a 3-2 mark, a paltry 1.92 ERA and 67 strikeouts over his 70 1/3 innings.
For the Wind, Gammon has a 3.00 ERA and three strikeouts in three innings thus far. Ardeeser has been a standout in the early going, leading the team with a .392 batting average and 23 runs scored. His five home runs and 23 RBIs are both second on the Garden City squad.
