Bobcat Men’s Tennis Places Trio on PBC Team of Academic Distinction

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released its PBC Men's Tennis Team of Academic Distinction Monday, with Georgia College earning three spots on the squad.

All three take the honor in their first year of eligibility. Junior Jorge Robinson (Entre Rios, Argentina) owns a 3.73 GPA in Economics, while classmate Enzo Sergi (Nice, France) has a 3.72 in Management. Senior Jesus Villamizar Abia (Valencia, Venezuela) is a Marketing major with a 3.66 GPA.

To be eligible for the team, a student-athlete must 1) participate in at least half of his/her team's events and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and 3) completed at least one full academic year at his or her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility. The Peach Belt Conference Sports Information Directors oversee the program.
