MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – After a stellar performance at the NCAA Finals, junior Collin Silliman (Douglasville) of the Georgia College Men's Cross Country Team earns the Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending in Dec. 2.
Silliman represented the Bobcats well as the first GC Men's Cross Country runner to compete at the NCAA Finals. The junior finished 73rd in a massive 261-runner field. Silliman crossed the line in 34:10.5 on a challenging muddy, hilly 10K at the Bob O'Connor Golf Course at Schenley Park. Battling 42-degree weather and intermittent rain, Silliman finished seventh among Southeast Region runners, second among Peach Belt Conference (PBC) runners and second among runner from schools in Georgia.
In addition to being the first GC Men's Cross Country runner in the NCAA Finals, Silliman also holds records for the Bobcats in the 8K and the 10K courses.
